[2259] Burned Elswhere

Mer:

We escape and head strait to the van.

(Russia) "Great! No what?!"

She asks as I jump into the driver's seat and start up the vehicle.

"Let's.. just get away!"

I wait till everyone is inside the car before driving full speed ahead down the road and not stopping until we found a well hidden spot to park and regroup.

 

Mer:

Without a moment's hesitation I pull out my pistol and point it at the intruder.

*Russia screams*

"Who the HELL are you?!!? Wait.. you're that PIRATE!"

I shove the barrel of the gun right between his eyes in disgust.

"Get out OR I AM SHOOTING YOU OUT!!"

Hepacti:

Merdeith goes crazy BITCH on me.  Before I can even explain.... 

"Ok OK I'm going.."

I give her a pissed off expression as I step out side hands up.

If Jem was found by them shes ..dead..

I think warily. I had seen the van near the cornfield and had HOPED they had MERCY but clearly not

When I am clear out of the way POLLY drops down pushing all the girls backwards into walls and going for the GUN.

Mer:

The pirate exits the vehicle just before his crude parrot takes a nose dive and snatches my pistol away from me.

I curse.

(Russia) "Give it here you feathery bastard!"

She jumps into the back seat and tries to chase after him.

Olwyn:

I was SO scared of the dark and handsome ROUGE pirate that was waiting to STRIKE in the safety of the van. I get to witness Meredith lay down the LAW and kick ass. 

Wow!

I cant wait to see her do Search and Rescue next! 

I duck down at the feathery little demon that TALKS and somehow yanks the gun away. Surely the little beasty cant..fire..

I take COVER he can fire ;o

(Polly): "THIS IS FOR HALLOWEEN LAST YEAR BIITTTTTCH!!" He shoots up all the windows and runs out of shots throwing it back at Russia.

"...what did happened..?" I ask shaking when its all over.

Russia:

I yelp when the annoying little parrot goes mad gangsta on my new ride blowing out all its new windows.

"Ohhh COME ON!!"

I whine wondering who he was ACTUALLY punishing there with that one before the bird throws me back the bulletless weapon.

Olwyn asks what happened last year and Mer mutters something about stunning the parrot or something.

That didn't sound so bad... wtf!

Mer jumps out of the van and gets super confrontational with the guy.

I jump out after her in case she needs backup.

(Mer) "FINE! Who are you and what do you want??"

She snaps at him angrily.

Hepatic:

I duck for cover. Polly was sill PISSED about that night. He thought he had a 'chance' with the queen of the hags... ha..righty-oh!

I hear the shots stop firing and then get up. Meridith lowers herself to the 'little people' coming out of her van to ask me what I want.

"I didn't attack your city, bug off Mer!" I shout back not going to endanger my chances at finding Jem by telling THEM anything.

"And the names Gallus, Hepaci Gallus. Dont forget it next time.."

I shout back before taking off on a hoverboard buzzing over debris in search of shinnies.

Mer:

The pirate snaps at me before introducing himself as Hepaci Gallus and taking off.

(Russia) "An adult male riding a hover board. That is a choice."

She mocks but I wasn't in the mood.

Where do we possible go from here? Everyone else was in the castle!

I pace around in thought.

"Ok, we should probably find some shelter. Thoughts?"

Owynn:

I look at Russia not understanding her 'insult' I have ALOT to learn.

I watch Merideth pace in thought. Surely thinking up some epic plan of attack of our enomies.

She speaks of shelter. 

I raise my hand obnoxiously.

"Is it there we will plan the taking of the Chaos ship and the Rescue?"

SURELY she will save her fair beloved!

I knock my fits together in anxiety READY for the fray. 

Then all in the castle will welcome us with a heroes banquet

Mer:

I raise my eyebrow at our eager travel companion.

"We will see."

(Russia) "There is Klaus' underground base?"

.....

"Full of vampires I take it?"

(Russia) "Quite a few were taken out when Beolan attacked and.. even more when the Bloodwatch found them. I'm sure they are all gone now that Klaus hasn't returned."

"Ok."

I sigh.

"Russia you check on the base, see if it's safe or not and then we will come join you."

(Russia) "Yeah on it!"

She rushes off to the UNDERGROUND leaving the Princess and I alone in the car.

Olwyn:

I am ALONE with THE Merdeith ;o 

I try not to stare and look out the ...windowless..window instead with a BIG smirk.

*holds back fangirl SQUEAL* 

"M..maybe they'll be vampires left..we can stake.. should i..gather you wood?"

I bet she knows just how to carve them. She killed ALL those station vampires ;o

Mer:

I look back at the Princess in surprise.

Hopefully our situation doesn't come to that.

But we do need wood for a fire.

"Stick close to the van.... actually, I'll come along with you."

I get out of the vehicle and fill my empty pistol with more bullets.

"My apologies, I don't think I got your name?"

I ask the Princess.

Russia:

Urghh this place smelt like ASSS!

I stumble into the joint really hoping the Sharpton wasn't here.

He looked a little too eager when Klaus threatened to remove my TAIL.

To my surprise the place was spotless.

The only one I could see at first glance was Brutus.

"So it's just you and that mop then?!"

I call out to him wondering where the others went.

Owynn:

Merideth offers to join me in the wood hunt.

 I was so very honored and quickly get up swinging my bag over the shoulder. 

This was going to be like 'camping' 

How fun.. servant labor. 

My name is requested. I formerly bow stopping what I was doing.

"Princess Olwyn Dy'maximus of LunLyr..ma'am. I was sent to court to assist the King during war efforts. Nothing seemed to go right and I received no assignments. "

I say going back to picking up fallen timber from the ripped out of soil trees planned about.

Russia:

Brutus gives me the silent treatment.

He then picks up Penny's head from the mop (which I just recognized to be her) and uses it to speak to me.

"...the Fuck!?"

I yelp back in HoRroR

"Brutus!"

I cover my mouth and nose from the stench.

"Did you do that???"

Siiicckkk.. dude's lost it!

Mer:

I raise my eyebrows at her in surprise.

"Oh really? What do you specialize in?"

I question her curiously.

She does not look like a fighter. Perhaps she is a diplomat with strong negotiation skills?

I think to myself while picking up a few more pieces of wood.

'Brutus':

I look at her surprised and continue the puppet show.

"Nooo it was Mr Klauss, and I think you were meant to join me on the fireplace. Hahahaha"

I cackle in a voice to match.

What fun.

"Girls sure didn't play nice in our club,, Penny brought the Bloodwatch, you brought Beolan and the Blue one did quite a scene as well.."

I say wiping my hands with a hankie.

Russia:

I grab the mop and point its wooden handle at Brutus having enough of his BULLSHIT.

"Enough Brutus! Stop using Penny's head to speak to me!"

It's creepy!

"I am coming back here with friends and I want you out of here when we RETURN!"

Owyn:

Meridith asks what do I specialize in. I wish I could tell her I WAS a warrior but I don't know its a bit.. rebellious.. she was such a by the book HERO  she wouldn't understannnnd and send me away for not following orders.

"Seeing to the needs of the guard accompany mostly. I was sent more so to learn from the Starkers and royal court etiquette, along with my fiancé ..it was supposed to be a bonding experience but I think he gives me pause more so then I thought."  

I laugh a little. He will be SO jellous when I come home with the party that brought Borens head!

Mer:

I frown at how much our allies underestimated the situation. Sending a young woman and her fiance here to "learn" because it would be a good "bonding experience" was perhaps the most foolish thing I had ever heard.

No wonder things are in such a horrible state.

I glance over at the ship still hovering above the shielded castle.

Sebastian could not have chosen a worse time to lose his mind.

"Well it seems our side is losing Owyn and at this point I would not recommend learning anything from our Starkers."

Beolan was in a messed up way too. That attack of his would take some time for me to forget.

"Once we get  settled it may be worth contacting our allies again for more assistance, including your people. What happens to us will have a ripple effect on you too."

I sigh, wishing I could find the lightness of both Russia and Owyn's attitudes in all this to be endearing, but I did not.

This was a very serious situation we had here. Our destruction meant death at best case scenario, slavery or experimentation at worst.

The things Beolan and I saw when we were kids was absolutely disturbing. It gave me nightmares for months even when I was fortunate enough to have never been caught with a Starker by my side.

Beolan and I were so very lucky.

I never found my people in any of those labs and was so glad I did not.

It was hard to fathom that anyone could be that cruel to another let alone to such a massive extent.

Another thought enters my mind as I am reminded once again that none of those memories were mine.

Even these thoughts.

I zone out a little bit before getting up and going back to the van to drop off my bundle of wood.

Russia:

Brutus' response surprises me.

I play along.... for now.

"Klaus is stuck inside that shielded castle like everyone else."

I look him over.

He was so tall. I was kind of glad he didn't choose to fight.

He would win I think

Oywn:

I look SHOCKED at Meridith, her lack of faith in the Starkers.

How could this be?

I realize she might not have left for the reason I had thought, hoped she did..

"Wh..y what happened?  I thought you we're really..close?"

I try not to think about when we will need to contact my parents. I wonder why they never showed back up?  

Maybe something was wrong and I really should..figure out...

I grab  few more pieces of wood and follow Meridith.

Mer:

"It's hard for me to explain the complexities of the situation, just know that-"

I jump startled hearing Desmond's voice in my mind.

He made it outside the shield along with the other me.

The real one..

I am given his location and hesitate.

This could be a trap.

Owyln:

I feel sad thinking about THE Meridieth going rouge. It didnt feel right..

She gets interrupted before she can bring forth her legendary encouragement 
I pout  wondering why, she paused/looked so shocked.

Mer:

"There may be more of us that escaped the castle. Would you mind waiting here for Russia while I go check it out? I won't be long."

I encourage before making my way over to Desmond's location.

Brutus:

Russie tells me Klaus is inside the castle with everyone else. I tried to peek in but it was SO hot and BRIGHT. I would be ash!

I TRY for the 100th time to destain the same nasty spot on the rug.

"Well well, we knew he'd get-ed caught and the jig would be up eh? It was a risky thing...all the sneaky sneaky under the Stark man."

I tisk. Wondeirng what would become of ALL that moonrock. WHO would buy it? WHO would want it. A pipe dream yes?

"What it like? Inside?" I ask her questionably.

"King really hiding rom hy-breeds?" 
It tilt my head. They were terrible but I could move fast away in time. But but Stark man cant take em?

 

Meredith:

"I will keep that in mind."

I laugh a little at Desmond's jest before he transports us.

..............

I carefully look around hearing music.

Among other things.

"Where are we?"

I whisper while the ground shakes as if giants were stomping around the perimeter.

Russia:

Brutus ignores my "threat" (mop pointed at him) to clean a stain off the carpet.

Nice..

He then asks what it is like in the castle.

Uh..

I put the mop down.

"Honestly, I wasn't in there that long."

Everyone seems to be scared and confused though.

Brutus then says something else but I could not understand him.

*Makes face.*

"I.. think?"

What kind of accent is that anyway?

Brutus:

I look at Russie like she is a dumb dumb.

"Not there long? If you really wanted to help master you would have stayed, won them over and freeded him when they trusted you." 

I go get a bucket or what is left of it after that awful Beolan.

"But why bother. You led that brute, right too master! Smoked us good! Had to kill Doren to kill him."

I shake my head. Then the hunters..

"Some help you are, traitor. No care for master! Tried to KILL him. Then LEFT him. Where the love huh?"

I point to  the head.

"Should be you displayed too for all dat."

I toss another pail of water on the stain. No come out. Useless.

Desmond:

(("Snarel town,")) I inform, peering around in the direction of the noises and then around the town.

Was it abandoned?

I look over abruptly when suddenly Celment calls out and people come out of hiding.

Well... That answered that, followed by a choir of questions.

I wince, cat ears twitching bothered at it all.

"I uh-"

Before I can answer there's a call to celebrate and I jolt wide-eyed at a feeling of my tail.

I look around and find I wasn't tugged on by an over-eager 'fan'. Instead, I look down and see an interesting-looking green feline kitten I've never seen before. Huh.

For some reason the music changes. Weird... Why is Boren playing that?

I flick my tail about and look back to the gathering and try to answer questions overwhelmed and feeling awkward that they were so happy I was back considering... everything...

I glance at Mer and then look back at the others.

"I killed Beolan with the eye artifact. He came back but he's alive. Not a vampire. Boren attacked the kingdom with android replicas and robot orc things. The kingdom stands now though with energy walls and has not fallen, but Bash is-"

I trail off as my mind goes back to the pizza lab and shiver feeling a disturbed sensation settle on me.

My ears twitch and itch at the sounds of the monsters trying to get in and I unseeingly look towards them until my focus narrows in on the things impaling themselves on the wall through the... chest.

My stomach tightens and I grimace feeling a chill run down my shoulders and feel a nauseated strain in the back of my throat.

Jean:

I boredly await a purpose in my humble boombox while the others continue to have their fun.

Beolan's attack on the castle was far less destructive than I had hoped.

I was grateful I did not waste one of my BETTER songs choices on him 

At some point or another, I hear Chaos' whispered voice regarding a few Starkers I had apparently missed.

It would not be so if I had a BODY to inhabit now would it? But alas, I am once again left to rely on Boron's complete lack of attention to put me back together again.

*Sighs.*

Chaos does something and I turn my attention to the experiment she connected the boombox too.

What a grotesque looking mantidae, Chaos you spoil me!

I zip into the Cerebrum monster and chase after the others like an overexcited dog, the boombox still dangling from its chord, now playing a sweet, sweet lullaby in unison with the other speakers.

I trip over my excessively long legs and make a very strange noise.

It gives me reason to pause.

*Makes noise again.*

Hmm.. it almost sounds like crunching.

I look up at the wall.

It had many interesting things attached to it, like trophies, which I pondered for a moment.

Unfortunately, I was unable to detect any organs of significance  

After a moment's consideration, I choose not to clime the wall, instead I jump it, landing carelessly on the top causing even more damage to the already poorly constructed structure.

Large pieces fall off the wall smacking a few of my companions back down to the ground and unfortunately, perhaps, killing some of them as well.

Whoops?

I look back down at them and my left antennae twitches.

More for me I guess?

I shrug before jumping over to the other side.

Meredith:

I take in the tavern and its interesting décor.

Are these old Halloween decorations or are there meant to be so many spiders?

I glance over at all the strangers when Desmond answers their many, many questions.

I startle at a young boy's sudden appearance in such a place as this when an eerie sounding lullaby distracts me away from him along with a loud crunching noise.

I cringe.

"Is this place going to hold from whatever is out there?"

Stupid question but I had to ask.

Father Clemet:

Desmond drops all that sounds like good news to me, Beolan is no longer a vampire and the kingdom stands.

Yeehaw

He had something to say about the King but surely it wasnt important or he'd start with it.

"It has so far.."

I reply to THE Meredith before all those crows circling make such a rack. The caw caws sounded like 'your baby is going to DIE'

*drinks another shot trying to ignore that bad OMEN*

(Sheriff): "Protect Veru, it must be for him.." He whispers to another sharpshooter.

"Whose the lucky mom?" I nudge Des about Veru as he is given more securty.

No one AWKWARDLY is giving Mer eye contact.

Dream Team. MES is sunk ...damn...

....and all the rumors was they broke up because SHE spent the night with the king, slut shamed her and everything...and he had the baby with someone else months ago. Plot twist. He cheated firstttt.

(Sheriff): "Thats not appropriate right now Uncle...should we head to this energy walled area then?" He asks Meredith for more clarity on the kingdom's safety.

Desmond:

I grimace at the crows and their terrible message. I feel very uncomfortable and put off just by looking at them for some reason. (Myra trauma)

I startle from my thoughts at the nudge. I look away from the window and rub my arms.

"The- what?"

I ask confused then see the added security to the baby feline and I get a weird feeling in my stomach.

"I'm.. a dad?" I state stunned.

How did- When??

I lower my head and furrow my brow confused.

This was like my questioning about Mer's pregnancy... I should probably stop getting high if my memory is THIS bad and I'm THIS promiscuous while on drugs.

Oh, Flynn. I cheated on Mer. I can't even look at her. I grimace and cringe awkwardly to myself.

I try to school my facial features before I look at the kitten. It was hard though and I needed to take a moment. I consider going after the crows but I feel that inexplicable sense of dread again and a strong impulse to stay away from them. Maybe it's cause I have wings of my own now? I don't know. So instead I try to distract myself by hearing the Sherif talk to Mer.

I know it's terrible outside, but I just avoid it and finally look to and kneel down to the feline and pet the kitten.

"Hey there. Aren't you a cutie."

There was... Something odd. A wound perhaps?

I start to bend my head to lick it out of feline instinct but manage to stop myself as I get a better look.

Were those... burns?

I frown with guilt. I hadn't been there to protect the poor little one.

I tear my eyes away from that and carefully pet the baby's fur and then put a hand down hovering slightly above the ground and move it back and forth trying to play with the baby.

The baby looked... Buggy.

Did I get it on with a Lyratisan then?...

Hmmm.

I guess they do have drugs...

I have no idea how long it takes for one of those insect species to have a baby, let alone a Trydein one. So I can't even know if it was actually back when they had me captive or before that. Though if it was before that why did the mom not get ahold of me?... Unless it was some sort of DNA experiment or... I left a bad impression while high.

I take in and let out a deep breath. Speculation would get me nowhere. There were no answers.

Russia:

"Well, it's not Brutus so if you could just stop scolding me for one second and... please stop cleaning that damn rug and FUCK OFF!!!"

I pick up a couch cushion and thrown it at him like an idiot before storming around the place to check for any more vampires.

Meredith:

I look startled at the child, then back at Desmond for all the implications regarding them.

No..

Before I can kneel down and SCENT the young boy properly another speaks to me directly about retreating to the castle.

"It is best to remain here.."

Well maybe...

I struggle to determine which was worse.

Boron was only tormenting a few of us inside. The others seemed to be left alone. Perhaps that is the safest option for them?

No of course not... what if Boron turns on them next?

I stress more at the sound of the lullaby before something smashes through the roof and grabs me, pulling me up and out of the bar.

I scream in surprise before proceeding to fight back against them.

Violet:

Everyone was SO stressed out and looking for a chosen one savior for some reason they think that UGLY cub was THE Desmond's holy vampire hunting heir or something... 

That ant a Tiger... don't these cowboys KNOW what a tiger is... you know that big ole face on Crystal's hoodie..

I hold the little mermaids hand and Maud's in the other as we look around at the sounds. It didn't sound good. What if the music was meant for ALL the kids' not just 'special bug boy' 

The Sheriff seemed confused at Meredith's reluctance, I was too ....LIKE the big King guy has a energy castle LETS GO??! 

She is snatched up not any kids..

Huh?!

Glass and screams, gown ups hurry us down below deeper. I loose track of sensing what was happening. Too much sounds, chaos. 
I shutter and almost faint , too..too many..SPIDERS.

*I squeal not because of the attack but so many little spiders running out from the catacomb under my feet, on the walls. Maud screams too.*

*Sheriff goes spiderwolf (like the pic above in the blurb) scutters after and tries to fight to the death the monster mantis for Meredith OF COURSE*

Brutus:

Russie throws pillows *gasp* that was the last straw.

"What about OUR family,  we we're family! I pity you new friends! You loyal now but when it suits you, you turn, no care how many died cuz you, no care anything but you-self!"

I roll up the rug REFUSING to give up on it.

"Rug like our club, little dirty, too hard and you give UP."

I fix the couch angrily ranting.

" Master Klaus deserved better, Doren deserved better! WE trusted you!"

How could SHE lead that monster to us after EVERYTHING.
Now Klaus is all alone in there....SHE left him.

I drag the rolled up rug sorrowfully trying to think of how to get inside.

Russia:

I plug my human ears and fold down my fox ones.

"La la la - I can't hear you Brutus! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!"

I call out while searching the place and finding NOTHING.

Once the coast is clear, I run back to Mer and the foreign princess to lead them both back to the base.

**Slight time skip**

(Mer) "Rush??"

"Our future home is clear of squatters!"

I jump into the van with them.

Oooo wood!

I notice their collection

Desmond:

I startle, tail fluffy. I turn look back up at the busted open ceiling behind me at Mer get taken.

There's so much going on at once and my ears hurt.

I raise a hand to blast it but I realize this is not a good angle and Mer is being taken up. I might just end up hitting her.

I look back around and see and hear, ears aching and twitching, the kids being moved to safety.

At least the kids had a lot of security. I try to excuse though can't help the guilt as I'm forced to teleport up to the roof away from them to get a better angle.

I see the Sherif going at it too.

I give up trying to use lightning of fire blasting it and instead unleash my claws, engulfing my hands in hell fire, and go for the back and rake flaming claws across its back.

Jean:

It was all too easy, until it was not.

A fascinating creature of sorts follows after me, followed by another.

The spider lashes out, while the other one claws up my back.

It hurt like hell but I enjoyed it.

*Sighs.*

Always a predicament..

I roll over on the ground trying to get the one off of me.

In the midst of my distraction, my little hostage fights back.

She zaps me.

I startle and drop her.

What???

She zaps me again and gets ANGRY.

(Meredith) "NO!!"

She blasts me backwards before the spider freak can get to me again and I go cartwheeling backwards, landing flat on my face.

Ughhhhhhh no one told me the little wench was part Boron?

I get up frustrated and make that "crunching" noise again before projecting soundwaves at my attackers to zombify them like they are meant to be.
