After his arranged marriage to Niklaus Baudelaire, which tragically coincided with the death of her father, they moved to the Village of Carpathia as he had found work there as mayor. Niklaus' mother, Esther Baudelaire, also moved with them. Shortly after their arrival, Niklaus got into a confrontation with the town witch, Elgatha Mikaelson, which set off a series of events that would one day change the course of the family's destiny.

History:

Klaus Sulez is the illegitemate child of Niklaus Sulez and an unknown slave. His early years were spent in the Village of Carpathia where he eventually fled due to his step-father's abuse. Unfortunately, he did not get very far before he was captured by the witch, Elgatha Mikaelson ("Helga") and experimented on many years later. When he finally escaped her, he was no longer human but a cursed vampire. His remaining years were spent looking for his sister, Meredith Sulez, until he eventually gave up hope believing her to be dead along with the wrest of their family. During that time, Klaus chose his rivalries as his next obsession to which he created and lead the vampire mob known as the "Underground." These are the events which took place before he joined the rebellion.

History:

Meredith Sulez is the only child of Olaf Sulez and Niklaus Sulez. Her early years were spent in the Village of Carpathia where she eventually fled when her people were destroyed by Overlord Boron's hybrids. Unfortunately, she was trapped on the planet she escaped to and was forced to live in solitude for quite some time before eventually encountering Beolan Starker, who aided in her escape and fight against the Overlord.
