A contention of Coldstone Lies, Blythe leaves the lab to investigate what Boren was plotting before Jean interrupted him...


Blythe:

A hologram screams at me along with my father again. I see everything that is turning on and the fluid chamber lowering from the ceiling.

"What are you cloning..?"

I try to touch the wing and get slammed to the wall with a energy force.  

It wasnt Shard's it was too dark...
I never saw Bash's ..wings.. having suppressed it all as early as I could experiment on him.
I do not think that was him. It seemed too Chiroptera...

(Boren): "We have no time. NO TIME." He insists again while using a syringe to extract from the wing a sample of DNA.

I see on the muted screen the Starker at last Klaus was talking about. He had his wings out and looked petrified at something on the ground. He seemed to process trying to help the wounded creature but could not control his temper, smoke started to raise disinagrate the tree branches near  him forcing him to flee.

Who could that be??

I decide to use the information clearly on the screen to find them. Boren was not going to tell me anything in one of these crazed obsessives moods over Jean most likely.

I glare back at him at least convinced Bash wasnt here before leaving.

I show up to the planet in question after a bit to find the creature and wonder if its too late.

"Hey? You.. alive?"

I kneel down trying to tend to her wounds if it there was movement.

I could not help but feel bad for her. It was no fun getting mauled by a Starker. It was very scary for me a big bad alien and this one was only a human...

Meredith:

I flinch at the physical contact.

When I look over however, I see instead of Beolan, a woman.

I do not recognize her.

"H-help me."

I plead before passing out.

A few moments pass and I wake up again startled.

"BEO!"

I scream and jump noticing the woman from before.

"Who are you?!"

Blythe:

I drag the little human into my ship to save her life, she wakes up screaming at me in thanks.

How annoying..
I internalize that the wrong way as someone seeing me as 'Boren'.

"Hey, you asked for help remember.."

I point out though I doubt she remembers it, the human was not in good shape after all when I found her.

Why would Boren waste time with this?

I had to investate it further. It seemed to do with the little scattered human colonies about, that was all outside our general knowledge of concern.

"So your Meredith huh.. your pretty young for the Overlord to be so mad at I would think."

Meredith:

The woman did not really answer my question.

I sensed something antagonistic about her and go very quiet.

"Thank you."

I remember my manners, before looking down a bit awkwardly.

She comments on my age and mentions the Overlord, but I did not understand what he had to do with any of this.

"I suppose so."

I sit up and wipe my eyes, feeling quite scared right now.

"What is your name?"

I ask, trying to keep a brave face.

Blythe:

The girl seemed whole, whatever brain damage Boren was going for has been stopped. I still did not understand why but I did not want to leave her like this to go find the male Starker who may have better answers.

"Blythe Cernach, I heard you screaming... so I wanted to help. Sorry for the.. surprise. I was just passing through.."

I say innocently. Humans often believed the silliest things so I do not think I have to truly disclose how I 'heard' or 'saw' her.

"Theres something going on, people arent acting themselves lately mm? Its all peculiar...whatever started the fight between you and that boy?. "

Meredith:

I relax a bit when the mysterious woman reveals to me her name.

It was pretty..

I accept her story with youthful ignorance before she mentions the current state of things and asks what Beo and I were fighting about.

I blush somewhat embarrassed.

"I don't know.. everything happened so fast."

I scratch my head and look off to the side.

"I think maybe he was on something?"

He seemed a bit spacey.

Blythe:

I find it confusing Meredith was the name Klaus said his sister was called - that he just saved from Boren apparently.....

 Why was Klaus lying and why did Boren care about any of these humans?

I listen to her explanation about Beolan being on something. Like drugs?

Mm maybe this is Shard related after all....

"I'm sorry that must have been dreadful... I can give you a weapon?" I turn away to some drawers that were not so tidy. I have had not much time lately for lab work. It was feeling like a past hobby if anything now.

I set away the bandages I used on her to dig deeper in search for that zapper.

"I think I have one that gives a Starker a nice buzz..."

I hesitate looking back at her.

"Unless you want him gone now? We're aliens, we have prisons strong enough..."

Meredith:

I wasn't thrilled at the idea of using a weapon on Beo, but putting him in prison sounded far worse.

"N-no. No prison."

I shake my head.

"He will get better, we will finish our mission and the Overlord will be no more."
 
I state firmly before walking around her to leave determined everything will be ok 

Blythe:

I find the zapping device and turn to look at the girl as she leaves declaring her plan to do away with the overlord soon.

I suppose it would waste a good super powered weapon to put 'Beolan' in prison.


"Thats some great expectations there kid, how old are you again?" I look her over impressed.

Humans were never so interesting


"Well here..take it at least.."

I offer the device carefully adding.

"You haven't seen another relative with Beolan have you? A blonde one.."

Meredith:

I blush when Blythe asks my age.

I can't remember honestly..

I am not working alone though! I have Beolan and he is MUCH older and stronger than I am 

I take the weapon from her thoughtfully.

"Thank you."

I look down for a moment when she asks me about another Starker.

"I only know Beo.."

I admit embarrassed not knowing very much of Beo's family.

"Do you want to come find him with me? He might know where your blonde friend is?"

Blythe:

Sadly the girl only knew this Beolan. Then again its probably a good thing she doesn't know Shard...

She would not survive long..

I was quite frustrated knowing nothing more then I did before with all of this, but it distracted me away from getting Bash back from Boren.

I look back in the derection the girl left as she invites me to come along.

... He'll be fine a little longer..

I think to myself before stepping out of the ship.

"Sure. Thank you." I reply glad she was so willing and not afraid of me.

I breath in the crisp air trying to pick up his scent. I eye the treehouse that smelt the most like him.

Beo should be B. O

"You better stay back, in case he is still out of his mind."

I warn her as I show off a little to the human jumping up.

Meredith:

I heed Blythe's warning and watch her jump up to the treehouse.

I was so grateful that she decided to come along.

She was clearly stronger than I and more capable of handling things should they escalate.

"Beo!"

I call out to him before slowly making my way up the tree.

Blythe:

I see a figure in the shadows.

I pick up what looks like a half widdled wooden stick and poke him.

It was a decoy scarecrow - Beolan is very bored and made alot of booby traps -

A net drops down followed by wooden contraptions set off by dominos near Meredith that sets off water balloons being dropped down.

...

"Cute.."

My scales shimmer under the skin a little at the water but as I peer back out the way we came a blue paint can smacks into me.

Meredith:

When I FINALLY get to the top I see Blythe get hit by a blue paint can.

"Beo?!"

I gasp at the horrid display before running over to help Blythe up because that probably hurt.

"I am so sorry!"

I apologize on Beolan's behalf.

"Are you ok?"

Blythe:

Okay now this kid is kinda on my nerves..

I think trying to burn the pant off my skin by heating up the scales under the skin.

The human apologizes for the boobytraps and I brush it off.

"Its nothing..."

I try not to show how offended I was and change the subject.

"Does Beo like..water? Maybe hes by such a place??"

I try to guess as a place to start.

.... thats where Shard would be...

Meredith:

"We can most certainly try there."

I respond to Blythe's suggestion of where to look next.

He doesn't seem to be here but his traps most certainly fooled me?

Where did he even get all this stuff?

I look at a broken water balloon bag on the ground.

"I believe there is a river this way?"

I suggest, wandering over to the edge of the tree fort to try and get a better view.

Blythe:

I was intrigued if the water was going to prove fruitful in catching this Starker and if not I could wash off this acursed BLUE stain.

"It is a lovely planet.." I say as we walk towards the sound of fresh water. Humans were so simple..

(Beolan): "AHHHHHH!"

I look up alarm at him swinging away from something chasing him in the trees.

...

Oh no I thought I left him on the ship!!

Joe wanted to look for Klaus too but he seemed really sick.. and off.. so I told him to sit it out. Apparently he was alot more sicker then I thought and with a deathwish too if hes going after a Starker!



Beolan:

*could easily RIP Joseph apart but has a insane FEAR of vampires from last time*

"AHHHHH!!"

I keep throwing branches at the BEAST but it was so fast.

I finely crash into the water like it wont go in. They hate water right??

I try to think what I learned about it from Twilight. 

*freaks when it enters the water and throws a TREE at it*

(Joseph): "RARRRRR!!" *biting tree freaking out screaming feeling the VOID of Klaus too DEEP* XD

I fall down before the monster and reach back into the water. 

I pull out a turtle and hold it out in front of me.

The creature hisses and flees into the dark caves...

Meredith:

"Looks like we found him."

I look at the scene before us startled.

I squint at the creature chasing Beolan but could not see him very well to make out who he was.

Is that.. a vampire?

I turn around startled reliving my OWN PTSD before turning back again and trying to be BRAVE.

"Beolan?!"

I call out to him unsure when the monster left.

Beolan:

I get out of the lake and rush over  to Meredith hearing her call and then turn around awkwardly keeping off to the side confused what happened before this.  

"What did you DO!?" *shouts at the STRANGER clearly it was all HER FAULT SHE WAS BLUE LIKE BOREN*

(Blythe): "Hello...nice to meet you.." She smirks clearly expecting that. 

I look Meri confused wondering what was happening.

The vampire was still out there too....

I could hear it in the distance up to no good. 

I dont know why it wasnt half as UGLY has hybrids but there was something about it, the speed of it that disturbed me or just maybe the fact it was dead.  It wasnt right. There was something so dark about its existence.

Meredith:

"Beo this is Blythe."

I explain while looking at her nervously.

"Would you like me to help with that?"

I ask her regarding the paint before turning to Beo cautiously.

"How are you feeling.. do you, remember anything at all?"

I question carefully.

Blythe:

I finely meet the mystery Starker and he did not look like Shard but he did sound like him.. especially screaming at me

So much offense!

I eye him wildly as he squirms back.

"No dear I'm quite alright." I tell Meredith without looking back at her, focused on Beolan.

He flitches at me again before looking at his little girlfriend.

(Beolan): "Not really.. I ..left somewhere uh Big Mama called.. I think.. but.. when I came back it was all..." *trails off in a zone out*

My expression changes unsure if it was Boren's work or if he was cursed as well.

"Does this happen alot? Does he forget?" I ask her worried.

Meredith:

"This is.. recent."

I respond not remembering anything like this before.

"Have you been taking?"

I ask very seriously at him.

This was the same conversation we had last time before he lost it.

Let's see if he remembers that..

Beolan:

Instead of explaining WHO the stranger was Meredith grills me, I give her a WTF look. Like this was my fault.

"If I cant remember anything then yeah I was drugged...can we focus on the damn vampire in the woods now that clearly she brought it .."I stop myself realizing something.

"Or...it followed us home from that creepy mansion.."

Clearly we would notice but it could have been hidden in her bag as a BAT...OR something...

I wipe some blood off my hand and scent... Mer...

*remembers SLAP*

..shiiiiiiiiit

*goes quiet awkward*

(Blythe): "I'm afraid its my fault, he did follow me.. I'll get him...stay here..both of you ok?" She leaves us and I dont have the final say.

Meredith:

I look to the side when Blythe leaves us.

It was so hard to make heads or tales of any of this. This was the first time Beo had exhibited any violent behavior toward me and it came up so sudden I only assumed it was drug related.

I run a hand through my hair in thought, thinking of my own father for a moment before turning to look at him.

"You attacked me Beolan and we need to figure out why."

I pause.

"What is the last thing you remember."

Beolan:

I could not look at her as I consider her words.

I almost snapped and was going to tell her i'm better of leaving but a selfish part of me didnt want to be alone again.

"I'm sorry.."

I stare down at the grass I was dripping water onto from my skint in the river.

What if I go off like that vampire... she wont stand a chance..

I try hard to remember. It was.. a radio call... but..

The voice.

It was an accent.

I would punch a tree for how HARD this was to think but I was afraid too do anything even move thinking about what I did.. could have did..

"It was a radio call..first... then..I.. I saw a blonde. I know thats not helpful.."

I remember that because you dont see it offen.

"Maybe I need to investigate."

Meredith:

This was.. most uncomfortable.

"Yes, but should you be doing this alone?"

I question him.

His recollection was so scattered, what if he comes back the same way again?

I shudder.

I hated how powerless I was at this moment to be of any real help.

I remember what Blythe asked me about Beolan's family and I pause figuring this was as good a time as any to talk about a subject we have really never discussed.

"Do you have family around that can help you?"

Beolan:

Meri points out I shouldn't go alone.

"That makes sense. I mean.. we're ticking off alot of people lately. Words getting out... remember that welcome on the last planet?"

I hesitate not feeling heroic right now.

"Do you think the Overlord knows about us now?" It was different then just hitting planets.. when does it get to the point to fight him really.

And how?

Her last question hurt. Does she think I just ran away or something and lied about it?

"No I'm alone."

I quickly reply.

"We could taken some of the humans we saved..with some guns..its better then nothing.."

We had alot of fans? Cant they help?

Orion / Possesed by Magic Eyeball

- Doesn't know Klaus vamp RULEZ and thinks he has to stay in shadows and hide as dawn breaks -

I dig in the dirt covered in mud and blood from my nonexitent fingernails trying to get lower into the ground.

This place REEKED of that boy. Very bad. Very bad. Someone tried to be sneaky didnt they?
NO ONE can cheat this. Its going to fail.

*places the eyeball deeply in the muddy earth and starts covering it up mumbling and rambling incorherntly.*

Once the eyeball is covered up, under quite a bit of soil I start waking up from the strange force that took over.

I cant even think too deep about it. THE HUNGER. It hurt so bad. I laugh/cry hysticaly trying to crawl out of the tunnel I was in unsure how I dug so deeply to be stuck.

I hiss at the light but...

There was SUCH A SMELL IN THE AIR (MER).

It was unnaturally appealing and I was SO HUNGRY.

Something passes me and the movement makes me maul it but I cant break the skin of the creature to get the blood.

*hiss, drools*

(Blythe): "Thats gross Joe..." *she tries to shake me off her arm that I was trying in vain to gnaw.

I try to get away from her and go into a nice dark cave for safety but some BLUE light hits me followed by intense pain.

I think I am a goner a pile of ash as it all goes dark in the light.

I am in white room some horrid purgatory for a soulless creature..

I think overdramatically as I am in a white cell twitching reroute to the hybird planet to 'help' rescue Klaus ***

Meredith:

"I'm afraid so.."

I say in response to Beolan's comment regarding Boron.

My next question offends him and I can see it.

I shake my head so depressed at how alone we both were.

A part of me hoped that there was an estranged relative or something around that he had chosen not to bring up.

Especially after my conversation with Blythe..

I look up at Beolan's idea for backup and felt strangely conflicted about it.

We could not ask that of them could we? This felt so.. personal.

But if this was something bigger we would need all the help we could get.

"It is worth a try."

Beolan:

Meredith wasnt quick to agree. I wonder if she didn't like the idea. I mean it could cost human lives too...

*guilt so much GUILT*

"I think I should stay away from you till then. How about we see about tomorrow, someone on the radio might volunteer." 

I suggest before realizing something.

"Wait..who was that women anyway???"

I feel like I missed something important in all that...

Meredith:

I look down sadly at Beolan's suggestion but he was right.

I nod my head in agreement before he asks of Blythe.

"Her name is Blythe. She... found me and helped me find you."

I look around wondering if she ws OK. She went after that vampire all on her own but she did seem to be quite strong and capable.

And she asked us to stay here.

........

"Do you sense her still?"

Beolan:

I wish I didn't scream at the women now..she was already gone. 

"No shes gone..."

I look up to the sky, unsure if I can sense a vampire. Its not alive.

"I'll check to see if the monster is still here..ok? Er.."

I take off to do some rounds, it was bright out here now maybe it took to the caves..

I double back flying over where I last left Meri. Just in case he went to her like bait when I left.

"All clear!"

Alone again...

Meredith:

"Hmm.."

I frown trying to understand why she wanted us to wait here if she was just going to leave?

No matter..

I look over at Beolan and look around not knowing what to do next.

We were both orphans and had no where else to go.

I cared for him deeply but he was dangerous right now and we needed to plan how we were going to play this out.

"How about.. you take the treehouse and I will take the caves and in the meantime you try and send a message to our allies requesting help? Tomorrow we can regroup and go from there or... do you think it is better that I not be involved at all?"

I scratch my head at this very awkward situation.

Beolan:

"You should take the treehouse and me the caves!" I blurt out trying not to be antagonizing as it sounded. I sigh tiredly not sure I could EVER sleep not knowing what happened.

I mean..

"I'm sorry do what you want."
I gulp feeling selfish as I added.

"I would like you involved.. if you ..want too"

I dont think I could rally the troops like her anyway. I look down awkwardly.

Meredith:

I flush at Beolan's intense response and look down.

"Ok, ok..."

I look up again with a small smile knowing he meant well before squeezing his arm gently.

"Thank you and yes, anyway I can help I would love too."

I glance over at the treehouse for a moment and try to make a tease.

"You sure I won't get painted blue if I go up there?"

Beolan:

"Thanks." I say rather shyly coming from me at Meredith saying she would love to help.

I look confused at what she said...turning..blue? Painted...

"Ohhhh.."

That's why that Blythe lady was blue.. oops..

Yeah I think she had every right to ditch then. I try not to get mad how bad I messed up possible help.

"The boobytraps..err yeah..there was only one set.. its all good now."

*rubs the back of my head awkwardly*

Meredith:

"Good to know.."

I smile at his reaction finding it rather cute.

I was tempted to kiss.. his cheek but decided against it.

I blush.

"Goodnight Beo..."

I awkwardly walk off to the treehouse to try and sleep.

**Once Beolan turns in for the night, the majestic, all so powerful EYE still buried underground senses his presence and begins its foul PLAY.**

Shadow Being:

I move along the rock walls of the cavern in the direction of the lone creature who lay wrest for the night.

He was quite tired, but not fully asleep.

I enter his mind without his knowledge and discover his FEARS and INSECURITIES before I exit and proceed to play them out in front of him.

I appear as his father, the ONE HE NEVER MET.

"What a sad, sad sight to behold..."

I cast a repulsed sort of look in his direction.

"Should have killed you when I had the chance."

I smile a toothy grin in his direction.

"Son.."

Beolan:

I hardly got any sleep when something awakes me. 

I sit up alarmed, thinking about the vampire but it.. it did not sound like him.. 

"Who are you?" I hiss trying to find where it went after it appeared in front of me.

I am struck by the familiarity before me and try to slap back a rock in its direction as I run further into the cave.

Shadow Being:

I laugh cruelly at the young creature's contradictory actions before taking flight after him.

"I am your father! Now stop running and face me like a MAN!"

I project a long staircase going downwards deep into the caverns to a tomb like structure of sorts, where young Beolan could meet his dead family in person.

(Zordlinn) "Beooolannn. Beeeeeeeeeeeeooooolllllllaaaaaaaannn."

His mother calls from from within one of the caskets, waiting to be RELEASED.

Beolan:

I stop running unsure how all..this got here. 

"No!" I shout back at the first voice.

I slice myself trying to WAKE UP, anything not to confront him.

... what is this??

I am struck by that voice and curiosity gets the best of me as I open it slowly to peek....

...

Meredith:


I start awake at the disturbing sound coming from the treehouse.

What was THAT?

I sit up and squint around in the dark trying to discover the course of the noise.

The sound seemed awfully familiar.

Like a memory I had tried very hard to supress.

A rotten worm eaten dead Ester drops down from the ceiling on top of Meredith full of roots and dirt scattering about with the most unnatural howling wail sound as the chains try to snare entangle after Meredith. 

The treehouse windows appear gone and in their place are miles and miles deep of dirt and soil as if the treehouse was underground. 

Hands/ arms / fingers reach out from the dirt muffled screaming voices.

'Grandma' is demonically scuffling around this wall and that till all that is seen is a shadow on the wall in Meredith's view of a bird creature ripping 'grandma's organs out. 

HOO HOO HOO 'WHO WHO' owl sounds become deafening

Meredith:

I feel something drop on my shoulder and look up at the morbid display.

W-was that... mi abuela?

I stand up in shock and back away at the chains in an attempt to try and leave the treehouse when I notice the whole thing was buried underground. Arms reach out from the soil to grab at me and I back away again trying to dodge them.

"What?!"

I gasp confused if this was real or just a really bad nightmare.

"BEO!!"

I call out to him in a panic before taking note of the bird creature eating away at my grandmother's organs.

It made the most horrible, awful sound.

I cover my ears and scream.

**JUMP SCARE***

A mummified Zordlinn bursts out from the tomb trying to drag Beolan inside.

Meanwhile, the other surrounding tombs open to reveal each of Beolan's dead siblings, their grotesque figures molded in accordance with their unique gruesome demise.

Some crawl towards him while others were too badly maimed to do anything but make small shallow gasps.

Beolan:

My mother half way gets me into the crypt till I finely push back with my wings breaking her into dust and bone. That alone freaks me out as I scream and try to avoid so many other..zombies..

I stumble and claw back at them trying to get to them mouth of the cave where everything would be better... right?

Shadow Being:

I wait for the young lad at the mouth of the cave and ambush him when he THINKS HE IS SAFE.

"Took you long enough."

I sneer before stabbing a nail through his palm into the rock wall and doing the same to the other one.

"Now.. where are those wings?"

I grab him by the back of the head and hold a third nail to his eyeball.

"Don't have me repeat myself!"

I snap at him.

Meredith:

I am overwhelmed by the constant peril of my situation and lose all sense of where I was.

I jump out the of the window in an effort to escape this relentless nightmare once and for all.

*Screams all the way down until a loud CRACK is heard at the very bottom.*
