[2259] The Shattering of Ashes

Klaus:

I hold onto Joseph, stroking his back tenderly.

"You better."

I try to make light of the situation despite feeling such a terrible way about it.

Joseph apologizes and I grow quiet for a moment not knowing how to respond.

((This is not goodbye. You will be back later to make it up to me I'm sure.))

Jospeh:

I try to take some sort of comfort in Klaus's touch but... 

I still can't wrap my mind around Penny, she saved his life and we've known her for so long.

It disturbed me how I could loose trust in the man I had nothing but depended on for everything...
then I realize its not a trust issues for me its I don't trust him with others.. 

I tear up knowing I need to leave Echo with Xenon, I cant bring him back here... ever...

I give Klaus a kiss rather forced, trying to not feel so torn before trying to walk out.

Klaus:

I watch him leave feeling a quiet discontent like I had never experienced before.


For the first time in several years, I was once again alone.

Jospeh:

I flash through the city to FIND....
